Show & Tell and Speeches
On November 3rd we invited friends and family to come hear our students present show & tell and speeches on a variety of topics. This gives students an opportunity to experience public speaking in a safe comfortable environment.
The event began with the presentation of some student awards such as, student of the month, Bible memory verse and art awards.
The elementary students took part in an old American tradition of show & tell. Students brought some of their favorite possessions from home to show the item and to tell about it. Items ranged from the modern like, a Turning Mecard and Robot bugs to the traditional like, a blanket. They also told us about relaxing items like, Dumplings and a water and oil toy, and exciting items like, a two wheel board and a skate board.
Middle school gave speeches to help us with our English, with topics about parts of speech, sentence structure and types of sentences.
High school students gave some speeches about some things they are passionate about. These topics included art, origami and hair.
All of the students did their best and the parents enjoyed hearing from their children.
